Children of the elderly oftentimes seek to improve their aging parent’s quality of life, placing them in assisted living homes or nursing facilities. Many of these older parents are treated well and their care is properly provided for. But, sadly, many times they are not. Oftentimes, the loved ones who tried to improve their parents’ quality of living are kept in the dark about the true nature of their parents’ care as their parents are being abused or neglected by the very people that are being paid to properly care for them. No caregiver ever sets out to have to file a lawsuit in such situations, but they do occur and the law allows for lawsuits in such unfortunate situations.
